Frank Rich: Profiles in Courage NOT the GOP

New York Times columnist, Frank Rich, in his column about the Arizona immigration law recently enacted which promotes the use of racial profiling. 

There are few profiles in courage among the leaders in this G.O.P. — only a lot of guys hiding under their desks.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

¹The Democratic-Republican Party was the dominant political party in the United States from 1800-1824; it then split in to two factions, one of which became the modern day Democratic Party.
